5 Feet of Snow in December-Sets New Record!

It's official, we have set a new all time snow fall record of 59.9 inches - that's 5 feet. Wow! Looks like we're going to shatter the record book this winter of 2008 -09.

The Snow Sport plow has been seeing a lot of action and moving a ton of snow. Every morning we've received a minimum of 4" inches the last 10 days! Obviously there were days with more snow fall. All of it, needing to be plowed. And plowing it all away has been a daily requirement.

The snow fall has been relentless. The rounds of weather storms this area has received has been a history book record setter. For the city, business and people living here it's meant power outages, pipes bursting, roads closed, postal and delivery companies closed. Thank goodness it's the holiday break for schools, otherwise we would be having school closures too.

The snow has become a daily obstacle and a community bonding ingredient for how to deal with it. The first time I sat next to my husband while he plowed using the Snow Sport people actually stood and watched him plow. It is amazing that something so simple could be so effective. Or many be it is because the people watching are so worn out from shoveling and are mesmerized by the speed and efficiency of the Snow Sport!

Yeah, the Snow Sport is that incredible! It's a good truck accessory to own this winter! So bring on the Snow!

Let it Snow! Get Ready to Plow

Today started out innocent enough, clear & cold. On the morning news, all the local weather guys were calling for a heavy snow storm, starting later in the day. Snow and a lot of it.

Well after making the 2nd pot of coffee, the sky turned to white. Within minutes huge chunks of snow flakes began to pummeled the ground. Wiuhin 1 hour, it was time to plow.

On days like this, a Snowsport Snow Plow made by Agri-Cover, keeps the driveway cleared and the parking lot at the business nice and plowed too. The Snowsport is a snap to put on the truck and makes plowing a quick, clean job.

So it looks like its going to be a white Christmas! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Mud Flaps a Required Pickup Truck Accessory in many states

Pickup Trucks around the country are being ticketed by highway patrolmen for not having adequate mud flaps on their truck. Many states like Washington have made it a violation subject to fines if a pickup truck, sport utility, even vehicles with large tires and clearance like Jeeps and Hummers fail to have mud flaps, or mud splash guards to deflect debris from the tires back down to the road. The law is to protect other drivers when traveling to avoid mishaps caused by flying debris from tires. While getting any type of driving ticket is a bummer, receiving one for failure to have adequate mud flaps not only avoidable but down right inexcusable.

Interior Car Floor Mats are a must have for living in the Northwest

Living in the state of Washington requires driving in all types of weather conditions. Whatever your driving conditions are, sooner or later it will end up inside on your vehicle's floor. Leaving your car's interior floor vulnerable to a quick deterioration if left unprotected. For maximum protection of my Chevy Suburban's interior, I accessorized it with custom, form fitting Weathertech Extreme Duty Floor Liners for the first, second and third rows and a WeatherTech cargo liner for the back. Now every inch of floor space throughout my spacious Suburban is protected.
